So AD wants to copy my radio station idea,

AWAL HEADER AN HCC LOGO

So AD wants to try to do up online radio, hope he has lots of $'s to do it. First he's going to need a studio, with radio station equipment in it. Next he's going to need a web hosting company that has a ton of bandwidth, next he'll need at least 4 computers, one to store and retrieve music, and if he does play music he'll need a AFTRA/ BMI/SAG license, that costs at minimum of $30,000.00 if he makes it that far, he'll need banner advertising, and he'll also need to be willing to put in a minimum of 15 hours a day. If its going to even generate any kind of listenership. Next if he plans on doing it to the quality of Steve Wolf's site or ours, he'll need a staff of writers, producers, an engineer, at least one full time on air personality, next he'll need to take out ads in all trucker and towing publications to get folks to log on to his site. So unless AD, has at least $250,000.00 in his back pocket I would say AD let those who can do it. He may copy our gig, but never duplicate it. Both Dixie Diesel/Highway Hooker Radio are copyrighted, as property of the UAITA, and they would raise a really big stink if someone were to tread on our project. Then he says he wants to go up to the Pilot, interview fellow truckers, fine the more the merrier, but is he also going to have the publicity releases in his back pocket for drivers to sign, so he can air those interviews? Does AD have a restricted but still an FCC License to even be on the air? If so, go for it AD, if not you best leave OTR Broadcasting to those of us who can. Now sure he could do up something crude on say YouTube, but if it even remotely says Highway Hooker on it, well I'll know about it, Highway Hooker has been my screen name on too many things, plus a company name for even longer, but hey another law suit wont hurt. I can sue him as well. Will AD go to the NAB, meetings? Conventions, and so on to network with those who are in broadcasting? We'll see. But this is not easy, its not a venture that many want to step into, and last but not least not a part of the jungle AD wants to be sniffing around in.

Next our site and when it will be active.
