At least I didn't count on it this time nor book our crew from Nashville or Atlanta for this. A year ago I did, the difference we got a melluva lot more applicants. Of course yes I know its the difference between Utah and Wyoming and certainly SlC and Evanston, but still when I float an ad on Craigs List for talent for advertising the shop , the ayre club as well as the MC and somebody says , Hey I'm your gal, but then no more calling or emails. Naw I don't work that way. Of course there was the gal with the Marine husband. She took up nearly 4 hours of my time, said she was REALLY into it, wanted to meet this week to meet a few of the club, visit the radio werx etc, yet no more communications. Talk about here last week , gone this week. It's a shame , not for us but for them. The opening for them in our talent corral is one damn great way to be seen by some of Hollywood' and NYC' biggest agencies and producers, as all of them watch us and book through us. But some people come up, see me in my ride, in jeans and T shirt. Guess they expect bikers or for that matter aviators, to Always dress in a shirt and tie, and drive a Mazzeratti, or some foreign car. For some of these applicants they might want to stay dancing at Southern Exposure, oh and for the unlearned out there Southern Exposure is one of the few exotic dance bars that the Knytes is a very silent partner in. But guess they should have looked and hung around the club here a bit more. The Knytes have such an extended membership. Two are FBI agents, 1 is a current serving Sheriff in Idaho, one is a County Commissioner out of Hazzard Idaho, one is a now retired city police chief. Beyond that our membership and extensions reach so far and wide, that we can and often do influence policy in places that few would realize it was even the Knytes or us in the Wolf-Pack of the AyreWolvez. But this is why both organizations have two basics, one for membership is being both a hang around and a prospect or prospective member. As for employment? There remains the requirement of being a hang around. This way they learn what the Knytes are and especially the Wolf-Pack is.
I hate no phone calls, or responses. But then again it is the Mountain West where the restrictive ball and chain on so many ankles keeps all to many good people spooked of entering the realms of the Knytes. Trust me Red Riding Hoods, these wolves ah AyreWolvez will not gobble you up. So I shoot for Hollywood, and booking talent from there. The rush? Yes I know its winter, however , there's video that can be shot in the shop, both Rick and I have worked around it before. Two there's shots that can be done in the radio studio. And last here while March and April is out there. The National Association of Broadcasters Convention is in April in Las Vegas . It's where the shakers and makers of everything radio and TV gather. It's strictly trade, but producers, and buyers of syndicated programming for shows like ours are at. We wanted to have a honey there for that. Paid in whole by us. But if we can't find local, guess we book from Hollywood. So, yes; It's Another project that's going to end up being farmed out of California.
