Why fight for a town that's dying or near dead?
I got off the phone with one of my better friends and Knytes members, who just happens to manage and partly own the Boise Stage Stop, just outside of Boise at the Orchard Road Exit. Thing is we talked about life has went for me here, since his company is looking to branch out east and open a place near Evanston here. His main questions surrounded hireable work force here. Not desire or ability or lazy people, just intelligent hireable work force. My answer was few if any. His next question was off the wall, in that he asked why do I still stay here? More over fight for this town? and area, when there is no family connection, no real friends except two, and moreover where I keep getting knocked back 6 steps if I make 8. Thing is, is I came here to this town a year ago under some serious mirage like images and cons. Thing is though too, is I am here. Every time I try to make a break out of here, something happens to make me return. So I've nearly gave in to trying to making Evansgone home. The Knytes live here. The Wolf-Pack lives here, even though the assholes out number the really solid , trustworthy people about 4 to 1 here, still I'm here and I'll be gall darned if I'm going to just toss in all that I've been through for a year for a BIG maybe of what just MIGHT be back in Idaho or over in Utah. Both those places have changed as well. Although I might have to do just that, if I don't get some help from the two friends here as well as some of ya'll in the club. As I'm really between a rock and hard place this month. Have to spend money to bail out General JaXson from Youngs Dodge in Morgan Utah, plus pay rent at my home. Past that I'm okay, but I need some help. Sent a text to my partner and friend at the shop Rick, and will do same with Nate my friend out at Nate's Truck Shop. Can't ask the Bishop any more, as that pond is done dried up, been to that pond way too many times, and there is no more fishing there. So saying I'm staying might be a bit wishful thinking at this point, but there's no more help from the Church. Only hope my friends and ya'll in the club can give me some traction for the action, I need.
My friend though trucked through two days ago while I was waiting at Young's Dodge in Morgan on General JaXson. His view was and is from the phone call that its a shame that there isn't a good old fashioned truck stop here. Well there wasn't where the Stage Stop was first constructed, so maybe he has a magic crystal ball I don't. Question I had with Steve was, where the hell would you put it? Both exits of Evanston have acres of property already occupied by Pilot and Flying J.
Didn't go to church today, decided I needed to catch up on office work and radio work. Oh by the highway, wont be on air overnight tonight into Monday Morning, but should be Monday into Tuesday morning.
