So once I saw that I I was interested in trying to define the opening we have, but it seems sometimes that no matter how much I try to explain over an email or phone call, the fact is I can never fully relate the operation . The only way to get a feel for what we do here and the way we do it, is to be here, and watch. That being said, while at present the gig is done here at the Wolf's Den(my home) there is movement afoot to relocate the radio werx down town next to the post office here. There is an entire suite there that can easily house the radio operation. Additionally there is space next to it in fact an entire floor down stairs in the same building that can house the Television station we have in the works to create here in Southwestern Wyoming. So the reason amongst many including but not limited to, me being only one human biped high octane canine, that's getting older by the second with type 2 diabetes, and all, and that said, running a towing service, partly running our custom truck/car/Harley shop, as well as finding time to stay current flying, there's only me. In days gone by there was energy aplenty doing 14 hour days, and running on 5 hours if that sleep, even in albeit only slightly warmer, out towing was no biggy. The other half of that in days gone by I had through the club, plenty of associate producers and a engineer to take care of the station, so all I had to do was come in and do my show. Now the reason its still in the Wolf's Den, is simply its where I can do this here where its warm, and since its radio, I can even do it in my underwear if needed. Put on a long music set, and go shower , or make a TV dinner. The other half of it is really simple, any kind of broadcasting operation is very expensive, new equipment costs more that a small house to buy, plus maintain. That and the fact except for our Gooding Idaho studio, there hasn't been enough qualified, I'm not saying no one, as plenty want to be an on air person, but few are qualified to just roll in, and saddle up to the console and do a show. In the same lane when I hear people yap about it being a long drive, and being a bit of a gamble and all, I think back to when we fired the first round of this show in Gooding. Ellie May, aka Nurse GoodBody , when I told her that I like in studio people in mini skirts, heels and oh yes nylons, her only question was pantyhose or stockings, like there was a difference what the hell did I know? As winter came that year, and we did the show as I do always , from around midnight to 6:00AM, she would drive 40 miles, on snow covered roads, and ice from Jerome to Gooding, both ways, didn't even squabble about it being overnight, and always came in prepared. She wanted HazzardAyre to succeed, like I did, it became a passion for her as much as it was for me. Of course she finally got her PHD, and now is a head shrink in Twin Falls, but thing is she still contributes in her way, from there. Oh and about the she being hitched and me not yet allowing me to do the off color gigs that I did, get this; He is a evangelistic preacher, from Australia, and he'd have me go to services, and he'd make us food , for our night shift. Even when she'd do things like this;
Nobody including her hubby cared. It was all part of the gig, he understood the connection between hot legs, and things Hazzard County and of course sweet Daisy,
There wasn't anything hinkey or kinky about it. But we got-r-done. So when somebody who is looking at booking a career and it is a career, not just being here as an employee or doing it as just a job, hey McDonalds is a job, working for HazzardAyre and the Syndicate(Knytes-of-Dixie) is a career, at about 4 times an hour beyond what they'd make at a McDonalds I have to scratch my head. Where else besides a exotic dance club as a stripper are you going to make a starting wage of $30.00 an hour and work up to $ 100.00 an hour, in 6 months? And its legal? To me if it was me and I was looking to gain some employment miles I'd be putting on my nylons and skirt and taking the 1 and half hour drive to come see me, not going to an exotic bar to be a DJ, introducing strippers and being mistaken for a cop and getting turned away.
There are just some things that can't be explained through an email, or phone call, HazzardAyre is one of those things that one needs to see in person, if your going to explore your acting, radio, creative skills. And again why this isn't in a formal space? Up to now we as an organization just haven't felt the need for it. We had one in Woods Cross Utah, pretty fancy as well, with many of the attributes we needed to boot, the thing is , we pitched ads for on air and visual, there too. Only got 3 that was even possible, but even they weren't rebel enough to be in and of HazzardAyre. One said something like she couldn't be seen or work for bikers, or pilots. Really? Once I have the three lady on air's hired for sure, that can be paired with our aviator/biker/trucker hemales then the station will be in the place in downtown Evanston. But not until.
Taking the rest of the night off, catching up on TV and rest, but don't fret none we'll be here Monday night on air after the farm chores are done. Tune in www.livestream.com/kkodfm Until Then keep it wings level
