Reaching a critical situation

We are as a society glued to and so dependent on the web and our computers few of us, can hardly remember when we either didn't care about computers or the web, and did business up front and personal, and spending billions if we had it, but serious cash to publicize club and or vocational business information. But if it doesn't work it doesn't work. Of course if its a paid for thing, of course your information you want to get the attention of the public with seriously gets done. The free sites, not always and most generally there are web censors at the door watching your every key stroke. Yet such social media sites like Facebook, posts it, but your contacts on say Blogger or WordPress, doesn't get the post. Sure it pisses you off, but what do  you  do? First you can attempt to fire off a letter of some sort to say Google, Bloggers parent, or WordPress. That most likely will not be seen. Revert to an older blog, which again might not register, or you can invest, if you have it, in building a website of your own THAT YOU CONTROL. That's good if you know some one that knows how to build such things. If you don't your screwed. Rural towns like Evanston, just don't have the tech types to build such things, and even if they do, if your in a cut throat business like say radio , the competition does NOT return a phone call, much less respond well.
Some how we'll get it done, but are we crippled by the web? Or is it really a help? You be the Judge.
See you this afternoon on the radio.
